8C Residential is a massive 276,000 sqm high-density housing development in central Moscow, the plans were completed in 2013. The project features four groups of towers with interconnecting bridging volumes, creating a distinctive architectural chorus while establishing a new major road that cuts…

Background

This ambitious development includes over 2,000 apartments across more than 200,000 sqm of gross building area, making it one of the top developments in central Moscow. The design team spent weeks optimizing the building massing on the 3.13-hectare site, preparing hundreds of studies to analyze the best layout in accordance with local regulations. The final design celebrates dedicated courtyard spaces within each tower group, with masonry-clad volumes capturing continuously changing segments of raised courtyards, while bridging elements span above each of the four double tower units.

What We Did

We created detailed 3D visualizations of the 8C Residential project, focusing on exterior renderings and aerial views that showcase the project's impressive scale and unique architectural composition. Our visualizations highlighted the relationship between the interconnected tower groups and their dedicated courtyard spaces, demonstrating how the raised bridging volumes allow glimpses into the more private zones. The renderings helped communicate Dyer's innovative approach to high-density housing that challenges accepted norms while delivering cost-effective, desirable living spaces that meet European standards.
