Belgorod is a 15,000 sqm extension project for the Belgorod City Mall in Russia, designed in 2012. The project aimed to expand the existing 70,000 sqm shopping center that had opened in 2010, creating a seamless connection between the original structure and the new retail spaces.

Techniques

Background

The original Belgorod City Mall was developed by Yuzhny Polyus (South Pole) as a $70 million investment featuring 50,000 square meters of trading space and a 1,100-car parking lot. The mall housed 80 stores including an 11,000 sqm Karusel hypermarket, M.Video electronics, Sportmaster sports goods, Dochki i Synochki kids goods, and clothing retailers like New Yorker and Snezhnaya Koroleva (Snow Queen). The extension project was commissioned to increase the retail footprint by an additional 15,000 square meters, enhancing the mall's position as a significant shopping destination in Belgorod.

What We Did

We created interior visualizations for the Belgorod City Mall extension project, showcasing how the new retail spaces would integrate with the existing shopping center. Our renderings focused on creating a cohesive visual identity between the original mall and its expansion, highlighting circulation paths and customer flow between the two sections. The visualizations demonstrated how the additional 15,000 square meters would enhance the shopping experience while maintaining the established character of this popular retail destination in Belgorod.
