BNCC was designed as a 90,000 sqm intermodal multi-functional strategic sub-center development in Budapest, planned in 2012. This ambitious project was conceived as one of the most valuable development sites in Central-Eastern Europe, aiming to create approximately 180,000 sqm of built space incl…
Background
Located in the North Pest part of Budapest with direct links to an underground station and outstanding infrastructure, the site enjoyed a highly prominent position with exceptional connectivity. The catchment area population was 462,000, with a total daily volume of 429,000 people passing through the junction by public transport and cars, while 60,000 people had workplaces within a 1km radius. The project's location in the center of Váci út boulevard, where most of Budapest's 'A class' offices are found, and its proximity to the Danube, made it a premium site long designated for a large-scale landmark development.
What We Did
We created comprehensive visualizations for the BNCC project, including exteriors, interiors, photo integrations, and aerial integrations. After being approached by the owner Carion to create visuals for their plot to help with its sale, we recommended Dyer architects to them. Our visualizations showcased the project's potential as Budapest's first intermodal multi-functional strategic sub-center, highlighting how the development would transform this valuable site into a vibrant mixed-use destination. The renderings demonstrated how the project could be realized in multiple phases over several years, with the first phase comprising 90,000 sqm of retail and limited office space.
