Kosino Mall was an ambitious 70,000 sqm shopping center project designed in 2012 for a strategic location in Moscow, adjacent to the MKAD ring road and bordered by Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy main route and Novoukhtomskoe Highway. The design featured striking origami-inspired folded surfaces that unified…
Background
The design cleverly incorporated an existing water reservoir, transforming what could have been a disadvantage into a unique waterside development with restaurants and cafes accessing the water via wooden decks. The project aimed to provide not just a shopping destination but a comprehensive lifestyle center with recreation spaces and family-friendly areas.
What We Did
We created comprehensive exterior visualizations for the Kosino Mall project, including aerial views, night renderings, detailed facade treatments, and a site plan. Our renderings highlighted the distinctive origami-inspired folded roof surfaces that served as the unifying architectural element across the development. The visualizations showcased how the design worked with the natural landscape, particularly emphasizing the integration of the existing water reservoir as a feature element with surrounding decks and pathways.
