Background

As Dyer's fourth large-scale project in Ekaterinburg, RED Shopping Centre was designed to celebrate the modern, expanding city with a state-of-the-art building envelope. The scheme includes four levels of retail and two underground parking levels. Sustainability was a key focus, with the main entrance featuring a living green wall that blurs the line between natural and built environments. The design team addressed the challenge of creating an open, light-filled building in a region with intense winters by strategically positioning glazed areas in public spaces to maximize sunlight, while using bright colors and reflective surfaces throughout the interiors.

What We Did

We created exterior visualizations and a night rendering for the RED Shopping Centre project, bringing to life the distinctive warm color palette and unique architectural form that would help establish a dominant presence in a neighborhood that lacked character. Our renderings highlighted the strategic positioning of glazed areas and the living green wall at the main entrance, showcasing how these elements would create a welcoming atmosphere despite the harsh climate. The night rendering particularly emphasized the sophisticated lighting design that would transform the building after dark, reinforcing its identity as a vibrant destination in Ekaterinburg.
