phera Mall was designed as an 83,000 sqm shopping and entertainment center planned for the Obukhovo district, 24 km from Moscow's MKAD ring road along the busy Gorkovskoe Highway. The project featured a distinctive design with bright red entrances and a limestone-effect colonnade frame, creating …
Background
The mall was strategically positioned to serve a catchment area of more than 800,000 people, including residents of large Moscow Region towns like Balashikha, Elektrostal, and Noginsk. The project was designed to follow modern European shopping center patterns, with 60,000 sqm of gross leasable area including anchor tenants such as an AUCHAN hypermarket (planned to occupy 17,000 sqm), a sports goods hypermarket, a supermarket, a children's goods store, and a cinema multiplex. The development team aimed to create a recognizable and comfortable destination for family leisure in an area that lacked colorful and vibrant buildings.
What We Did
We created exterior visualizations for the Sphera Mall project, including night renderings that highlighted the building's distinctive design features. Our visualizations showcased the "honest" architectural approach that aimed to deliver a clear message through straightforward, affordable design rather than trying too hard to impress. The renderings emphasized the bright red color scheme highlighting the main entrances, making them easily recognizable from a distance, while also showcasing the limestone-effect cladding on the front façade's colonnade frame.
